James Steel Productions is a London-based producing and general management company working across the UK and internationally. We collaborate with producers, investors, and creatives to turn ideas into beautifully run productions.

Our focus is on transparency, collaboration, and delivery. Behind the scenes, we manage budgets, contracts, licensing, scheduling, compliance, and stakeholder communication with the same care we bring to creative work. We believe theatre works best when everyone feels trusted, informed, and supported.

Alongside our consultancy and general management services, we originate and produce new musicals independently and in partnership with other creatives. Our work spans both subsidised and commercial models, built on clarity, efficiency, and strategic execution.

Productions we’ve general managed and executively produced include Daniel’s Husband (Marylebone Theatre), Fly More Than You Fall (Southwark Playhouse, starring Keala Settle), and Breaking the Quill (The Other Palace). Our producing credits include USHERS: The Front of House Musical (Arts Theatre, West End; Charing Cross Theatre; The Other Palace; The Hope Theatre; Edinburgh Fringe).
